The New Gallery (TNG) currently programs two exhibition spaces as well as an artist-in-residence program and various offsite projects. Proposals are accepted on an ongoing basis, although specific calls are issued from time to time. All submissions are adjudicated by our Programming Committee, which is comprised of members of our Board, staff, and professional artists from the local community. Successful applications will be chosen for their congruity with the Gallery's mandate, artistic merit, critical and conceptual mindfulness, and evidence of the applicant's ongoing dedication to their career and practice.
Our Main Space is currently located at 212, 100 7 Ave SW in the Art Central building in downtown Calgary. Submissions for our Main Space general programming are due by June 30, 2013.
Our +15 Window Space is a shallow vitrine located in the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts on a high-traffic pedestrian walkway. Submissions for +15 Window programming are due by July 31, 2013.

The John Snow House (JSH) is an offsite residence and archive located at 915 18 Ave SW. JSH seeks residency proposals from individual artists, writers, and collectives in all disciplines for research and development of new or ongoing bodies of work. JSH is no longer accepting submissions for the 2013 summer residency programs.
Library Artist-in-Residence: The New Gallery is partnering with the Calgary Public Library to create a special artist-in-residence project for the fall of 2013. Submissions for this special program are due by May 18, 2013.
Offsite projects and collaborations are programmed on an ongoing basis. Please feel free to send us any ideas or propositions you might have.
