The New Gallery (TNG) is a nonprofit organization that relies on a variety of funding sources for its activities and programs. This support enables TNG to continue to present cutting-edge exhibitions to thousands of visitors from around the world each year. As we work to elevate the role of art in contemporary culture and actively attract new audiences, your support is more important than ever. We thank each of our donors for their loyalty and enthusiasm, and look forward to working with new friends as we build for the future.
Make a secure online gift to TNG through Canada Helps.
A gift is defined by Canada Revenue Agency as "a voluntary transfer of property without valuable consideration to the donor." When you give to a registered charity such as TNG, both you and the charity benefit: the charity receives valuable funds, and your donation of $10 or over (either in the form of cash or a gift-in-kind) is tax-deductible.You may be able to double your gift to TNG. If you work for a company or business with a policy of matching their employees’ charitable donations, they will match your contribution to TNG. For more information, contact your employer regarding this option.

Effective January 1, 2007, the Alberta government raised the charitable tax credit for eligible annual donations above $200 by 60 per cent. Including the federal tax credit, Albertans now receive a 50-cent tax credit for every dollar donated over the $200 threshold. This gives Alberta one of the highest charitable tax credits in Canada.

* Total Annual Donations - When you make a charitable donation to a Canada Revenue Agency registered charity, you receive an official income tax receipt. You will receive a receipt for each individual donation you make.
** The charitable tax credit is non-refundable, which means you must be a taxpayer to benefit from the tax credit.
Contributions of services (i.e. time, skills, effort) are not property and do not qualify for an official donation receipt. However, as stated in the CRA Income Tax Act, “a charity can pay for services rendered and later accept the return of all or a portion of the payment as a gift, provided it is returned voluntarily.” ***
